,Bodywork for everybody. Before the massage, we’ll establish your goals and needs, short-term and long. Your body’s needs are ever-changing, and we’ll respond to those needs each visit. I offer an effective and trauma-informed blend of any appropriate techniques including fluid Swedish, table Thai, active release therapy and neuromuscular release, craniosacral and / or intra-oral release, myofascial release, cupping, and manual lymphatic drainage.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
A gentle, deeply soothing modality for folks recovering from surgery, traumatic injury, lymphedema, or other symptoms of a taxed lymphatic system. Lymphatic drainage is also for those seeking support for a healthy immune and lymphatic system. You’ll leave feeling clear, spacious, and deeply relaxed.
About Alexa Peden
After finishing my degree in environmental science, I spent a year traveling the country by van. Shortly after landing back at home in the PNW and starting back in the service industry, I entered massage school… sort of on a whim! Bodywork rapidly evolved into a huge cornerstone in my life, personally, communally, and professionally. I hold tremendous respect for everyone who is brave enough to seek care, and I strive to offer safe, nonjudgmental touch, a listening ear, and an open mind and heart in my work.
My studio in Tacoma is a safe space for LGBTQIA+ and trans and nonbinary individuals, as well as for BIPOC individuals. My table can safely and comfortably accommodate up to 400 lbs of person. My space is up a flight of stairs, has no elevator, and is NOT accessible to all individuals with disabilities. The building I work in also currently DOES NOT have all-gender bathrooms (designated male and female.) For those who have needs beyond what my space can accommodate, I would love to come work with you in a place that you can access comfortably. Please feel free to reach out to me if this is you.
